Onlookers run for cover as cargo ship slams into Thailand boardwalk

Security vision has captured the moment a cargo ship slammed into a pedestrian walkway in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pedestrians on the walkway are seen running for safety as the cruise ship fails to stop in time, crashing through the walkway barrier and only coming to a stop after becoming lodged several metres deep into the boardwalk.

The accident is believed to have occurred on Sunday morning near Bangkok’s Bhumibol Bridge.

No injuries were reported, and there has so far been no explanation for the accident.
