One dead, three others injured in Hollywood stabbing rampage

One person is dead and at least three others are believed to be injured after a daylight stabbing in Hollywood.

The stabbing and “officer-involved shooting” occurred just before 2pm local time (9am AEDT) on a busy street near the CNN news headquarters, the LA Times reported.

Graphic video taken by a witness and posted onto social media shows two victims bleeding profusely inside a Jack in the Box restaurant.

A policeman can be seen kneeling on one man and can be heard saying “not conscious, not breathing”.

It’s unclear whether the stabbings occurred inside.

Spokeswoman for the LA Fire Department Margaret Stewart said three men suffered injuries ranging from gunshot wounds to stab wounds, the newspaper said.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene, however police have not confirmed if it is the alleged offender.

The exact circumstances surrounding the event are unclear.
