Nike close stores across world to protect from COVID-19 spread

Nike Inc is closing all its stores in Australia and several other countries including New Zealand and the US in a move to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Nike stores in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Western Europe will be closed from March 16 to 27, CNBC reported.

However, outlets in South Korea, Japan, most of China and in "many other countries," will still remain open based on daily assessments of the COVID-19 pandemic, CNBC added.

Another major retailer that has decided to close business for at least the next fortnight include Apple stores across Australia and other countries.
