NFL teams turn practice into battleground as fights break out

A joint practice session between two NFL franchises turned into a running battle when a number of brawls broke out across a number of fields.

The Washington Redskins and the Houston Texans were competing in a number of training scrimmages when tempers flared past boiling point.

Caught by US sports network ESPN's cameras, a brawl breaks out on the far field with players from both sides rushing into the fray.

But just as tension begin to cool between the sides, another rumble sparks on an adjacent field.

Overall, four fights broke out in quick succession as players from both sides traded blows across the ground.

The mayhem comes as both sides prepare for the upcoming NFL season which kicks-off on September 14.
