Woman ‘spiked ex’s drinks with antifreeze’

A New York woman allegedly tried to kill her ex-husband by spiking his drinks with antifreeze.

Renee Burke is accused of entering her ex-husband's apartment at least three times and pouring a pink liquid into several beverage bottles, including a bottle of wine and a bottle of Pepsi.

Prosecutors allege the liquid was Prestone antifreeze.

Ms Burke and her ex-husband are currently locked in a custody battle over their two children, an eight-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy.

The ex-husband has primary custody of the children.

Ms Burke has also been accused of having her daughter open the bottle of wine for her to pour the alleged antifreeze in.
