New footage shows Brazilian helicopter crash from perspective of passengers

New footage has emerged showing the moments leading up to a helicopter crash in Brazil from the perspective of the passengers inside.

A woman in the front seat next to the pilot can be seen excitedly preparing for the helicopter to take off.

She smiles and laughs as the two other passengers sitting behind her also share their excitement at the impending scenic sky tour of the Rio Turvo river in Capitolio, Brazil.

The camera shows the faces of the passengers and pilot but is turned to reveal the perspective of those inside as the helicopter takes off, right up to the moment the chopper loses altitude and crashes into the water.

All three passengers and the pilot survived the crash which occurred in Capitolio, Brazil.

Original videos of the accident were uploaded to YouTube on January 23.

The helicopter was destroyed in the crash and investigators believe it was caused from tailwind that prevented the pilot from gaining altitude.
