A YouTube star is suing the company that makes meals for his fast food chain, claiming fans call the tucker "revolting".

Jimmy Donaldson, 25, who goes by MrBeast on YouTube, is the most popular YouTuber in the world, with over 167 million subscribers on that channel.

His videos are known for both high-level stunts - including crashing a train into a pit - and philanthropic giveaways, including sponsoring cataract surgery for thousands.

He has 85 million followers on TikTok and 39 million more on Instagram. And he last month became the first person to reach 1 million followers on Meta's new social app Threads.

CNN has reported his business empire as being potentially worth $1 billion.

Part of that empire is MrBeast Burger, a click-and-collect or online delivery fast food service.

But now, Donaldson is reportedly suing Virtual Dining Concepts, the company behind the operation, saying it is hurting his brand with inferior products.

Donaldson is asking a New York court to grand him the right to terminate the agreement, the BBC has reported.

The lawsuit claims that at times the burgers have been "inedible".

Donaldson also alleged the partnership had caused "material, irreparable harm to the MrBeast brand and MrBeast's reputation", and that he had received no money from it.
