Mr Burger marries Miss King in whopper wedding sponsored by fast food chain

It was a match made in culinary heaven when Mr Burger popped the question to Miss King.

And now, in what is likely to have been the first wedding sponsored by a fast food chain, Joel Burger and Ashley King have tied the knot in New Berlin, Illinois.

Burger King agreed to pay for the pair’s wedding after they jokingly posed for their engagement announcement photo under a Burger King sign, ABC7 Chicago reports.

The childhood sweethearts shared the day with 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen, all wearing Burger King crowns.

The men all wore Burger King shirts under their suits and custom-designed burger socks.
