Rider conquers rollercoaster on his motorbike

Rollercoasters are a stomach churning experience at the best of times.

But while many people fall ill tackling the steep drops and twists of the world's biggest rides, French motocross stuntman Julien Dupont has taken it a step further, using his motorbike to tame one of the scariest beasts on earth.

Dupont completed his own version of a "sick" ride by tackling the famous Montana Rusa wooden rollercoaster at Mexico City's La Feria se Chapultepec amusement park.

And not content with merely riding the rickety rollercoaster - which reaches a maximum height of 33m - he also pulled off a backflip and multiple wheelies.

Even more remarkably the Red Bull stunt king admitted he was not a real fan of riding rollercoasters.

"This morning, I was very nervous because I’m not used to riding this kind of stuff, (but) it was the sickest ride ever," Dupont said, immediately after completing his run on the 1.2km ride.

The 50-year-old rollercoaster was once the world's biggest and is still deemed by many as one of the most thrilling rides in any amusement park.

Dupont said Mexico City held a special place in his heart.

"I love Mexico, because this is the place where the impossible becomes possible," said the 34-year-old, whose previous trip to the bustling city delivered the Red Bull Traffic Jam, where he completed a unique trip on a trials bike through rush-hour queues.

"There’s no place in the world where I could do the same."
