Mother who posed for photographs with dead daughter’s ‘ghost’ charged with her murder

A US woman has reportedly been charged with the murder of her two-year-old daughter, after commissioning an edited photoshoot where the dead toddler was depicted beside her as a ghost.

Soldier Jeanie Ditty, 23, and her boyfriend Zachary Keefer, 32, have been charged with first-degree murder and negligent child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury after Ms Ditty’s daughter Macy Grace died suddenly late last year, WNCN reported this week.

Macy Grace was taken to a North Carolina hospital covered in bruises last December, and she died at the hospital two days later.

Medical staff reportedly determined the toddler’s injuries were consistent with abuse.

Meanwhile, Ms Ditty contacted a photographer who creates portraits of people with their deceased loved ones using editing tools.

The images he created show Ms Ditty posing with Macy Grace, who appears as a ghost-like figure.

The photographer told WNCN she“felt so bad for the grieving mother” that she offered a $650 discount.

“I find out that she wanted these photos just to lie to the public, to cover up what she did so she can look like the grieving mother,” she said.
