Monkey attack kills baby

A monkey killed a one-month-old baby in India while snatching her milk bottle.

The infant and her mother, Sunita Devi, were at home in Junavai, in the country’s north, on Saturday, when the attack happened, reports the Times of India.

The baby’s mother was working near a verandah while the baby slept in her cot when the monkey pounced.

After the alarm was raised, family members chased the primate away. It ran from the house carrying the bottle.

The baby was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead from internal injuries by doctors.

This is the latest incident in a series of monkey attacks in India.
