Cairo petrol bomb attack kills at least 16

At least 16 people have died and two are wounded after a petrol bomb attack on a nightclub in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

Police responded to the firebombing in the early hours of Friday morning local time, and initially advised that the death toll was 12. 

The perpetrators fled the scene, and police have since launched a manhunt.

Footage shows thick smoke and flames billowing from the nightclub in the Agouza area of the capital.

A security source said the attack was sparked by a dispute between nightclub workers and a group of youths.
