Meghan Markle breaks royal protocol to attend Christmas celebrations with the Queen

After weeks of speculation, it’s been confirmed bride-to-be Meghan Markle will spend Christmas at Sandringham with the Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family.

Kensington Palace confirmed the actress will attend the string of celebrations at the Queen’s private estate in Norfolk with Prince Harry.

She will attend the traditional Christmas Day church service with the family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The 36-year-old will be the first fiancée to spend Christmas at Sandringham, a tradition which is normally reserved for married members of the family.

The Duchess of Cambridge was forced to wait until she married Prince William before she was able to attend.

Harry and Meghan will marry at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle next May.
