Mark Hamill disguises himself as a Stormtrooper on Hollywood Boulevard

He’s been noticeably absent from the trailers for the upcoming Star Wars film, but could it be because Mark Hamill, aka Luke Skywalker, has found a new role?

Hamill, disguised in a Stormtrooper costume, has been filmed undercover on Hollywood Boulevard in a new promotional video for the Omaze charity fundraising campaign, Force For Change.

The 64-year-old actor had some peculiar interactions as he took the famous street, even getting involved in an impromptu lightsabre duel.

“The last time anybody saw me in a Stormtrooper outfit was when we rescued the princess off the Death Star,” Hamill says in the video uploaded to YouTube.

The stand-in Stormtrooper encountered clueless fans, who had no idea they were meeting Luke Skywalker himself, as well as some fellow companions of the galaxy, including Chewbacca and Darth Vader.

A grand prize winner chosen from donors will win tickets to the premiere of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the chance to meet the cast.
