Man watches 9/11 attack footage as own flight takes off

A shocked US traveller has recorded a fellow plane passenger watching video of the September 11 terrorist attacks as their flight was taking off.

It is not clear when the incident happened but it is believed to have taken place on a domestic US JetBlue flight.

The passenger who filmed captures his own shocked expression as he watches his fellow flyer focus on the 2001 terror attack.

The plane is taxiing for takeoff as the offending person — dressed in a grey shirt, baseball hat, glasses and holding a coffee cup — watches the terror attack footage of a plane plunging into one of the World Trade Center buildings.

The video continues to show smoke billowing from one of the skyscrapers as the captain’s announcement plays.

The shocked passenger uploaded the video to YouTube, where it has since been viewed 815,000 times.
