'We heard yelling': Man trapped in shopping centre wall for three days

A man has been rescued after spending three days trapped in the wall of a US shopping centre.

Homeless man Paul Felyk, 35, was pulled from between the walls of the Colorado store after falling from the building's roof.

Police were called on Tuesday after workers reported hearing noises around the building which included yelling; however the first officer called to the scene did not find anything suspicious.

When the noises continued, employees again called police on Wednesday claiming they heard a man yelling inside the building but could not locate the source.

Rescue crews eventually found Mr Felyk who was trapped between the exterior and interior walls.

He had plunged 12m from a vestibule on the roof sometime over the weekend. The area where he fell was large enough to stand up in, but close to freezing at night.

"I believe he spent at least one cold night there," police sergeant Matt Cage said.

The reason Mr Felyk was on the roof is unknown. He was taken to hospital but his condition is unknown.
