Man rescues baby Bambi from river
9NEWS
A baby deer struggling to swim across a river has been saved by a man who jumped from his boat.
YouTube user Lyle Walsh uploaded footage taken from a boat which showed him swimming in the Columbia River in North America to rescue the real-life Bambi.
“Careful, Lyle, he’s probably aggressive,” another man on the boat warned.

Wearing a lifejacket, Mr Walsh apprehended the squeaking animal and handed it to a man on the boat.
“Poor guy,” he said.
After reaching shore, he then dries the fawn with a towel before releasing it, where it shakes briefly before taking off into the bushes.
Deer are generally accomplished swimmers, however babies need to build their strength before they can take on long stretches.
