Husband re-proposes with wife's missing wedding ring
Kay Butler lost her wedding ring 15 years ago. Desperate to find the precious keepsake, her family searched the house "high and low for months" before finally giving up.
Then, late last month, Kay's husband stumbled upon the ring hidden away in a small wooden box.
In reuniting his wife of 38 years with her long-lost wedding band, he decided to add a little romance to the occasion by getting down on one knee and proposing to her once again.
The adorable moment was captured by their daughter Lacey who took to her Facebook page to admit she helped come up with the plan with her dad: "We knew reuniting them was going to be emotional enough but dad and I knew we had to add in a twist."
In the video Lacey's father, in all his green t-shirt wearing glory, asks her mother, "What are ya' looking for?" as she searches through a cupboard in their garage.
Then, as he nears, he drops to one knee and waits behind Kay, whose back is still turned as she rummages through old boxes.
When she finally turns back to face her husband he triumphantly raises his hand and shows her the ring. "Will you marry me?" he asks.
Stunned and speechless, Kay collapses to the ground before embracing her husband and crying: "No way! Where did you find that!" before burying her head into her husband's shoulder and sobbing.
"Maybe she was a little dramatic," wrote her daughter Lacey on Facebook. "But hey, it's her missing wedding ring!".
