Man castrated over $13 sex offer

A man in the US has been castrated by a woman who was left seething when he only offered $13 for sex.

Police allege the man, who is yet to be named, was driving along a street in Dayton, Ohio early Monday when the woman "asked him for a ride", the Dayton Daily News News reports.

He agreed and told her that he had to make a stop at his home along the way.

Once inside, the woman propositioned the man and asked for payment in return.

But when he only produced $13 from his pocket, the woman pulled out a knife and stabbed him repeatedly in the scrotum, castrating him.

She then fled with the money, CBS Cleveland reported.

The man was able to crawl upstairs and wake his sleeping sister, who took him to hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition.

The woman is believed to still be on the run.
