Magnitude 6.0 quake strikes off PNG

A magnitude 6.0 earthquake has struck 230 km off New Britain, Papua New Guinea, early on Tuesday at a depth of 5.7 km, the United States Geological Survey says.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning.
