Lost dog returns home to heartbroken family during live television interview

A missing dog has returned home as his heartbroken family talked about the beloved pooch on live US television.

Will Rumley was being interviewed by WCTV in Georgia about losing his six-year-old German Shepard, Judo.

Judo had run away just six months after Mr Rumley’s wife died from brain cancer, he told the WCTV reporter on Thursday.

“On the heels of that happening, now losing a family pet. He’s a member of our family. It’s heartbreaking,” he said.

As Mr Rumley detailed his devastation, the unthinkable happened- Judo returned home.

“And there he is…he just showed up! Awesome,” a visibly shocked and joyous Mr Rumley said to the camera.

Mr Rumley and his son embraced Judo with smiles on all their faces.

Local police told WCTV they believed Judo ran away after being frightened by Independence Day fireworks on July 4.
