Lionel Messi suffers embarrassing slip after scoring 400th club goal

Barcelona star Lionel Messi cannot be stopped when he has the ball, but without it, well that's a different story.

The Argentinian maestro celebrated his 400th goal on Saturday, putting the ball back into net after Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves saved his initial effort in a tense one-on-one at Camp Nou.

The former Ballon d’Or winner then celebrated his milestone goal running behind the goals, but slipped over on the athletics track.

He escaped unscathed but did injure his pride and ego on his way back to his teammates on the turf.
