It's a sight better suited to a Keanu Reeves movie than an afternoon commute.

A South Korean bus has jumped the median strip barrier and flown several metres in the air before crashing into traffic going the opposite direction last Tuesday.

Dash cam footage shows a green and white bus swerving across lanes on a bridge in Siheung City, southwest of Seoul.

The bus was then launched more than two metres off the ground before smashing to the asphalt in the other direction.

The bus driver, identified by Yonhap as a 50-year-old named Choi Choi, was one of three people injured in the crash.

Remarkably, none of them were seriously hurt.

Police are now investigating the cause of the crash.
