Kind stranger pays off $20k worth of Christmas present laybys

A kind stranger has anonymously paid off $20,000 worth of Christmas shoppers’ laybys at a US Toys R Us store.

Staff at the Massachusetts store believe the “layaway angel” has struck before, after an anonymous woman did the same thing at the same store last year, according to WPXI.

Customers reacted emotionally when they learned their toy laybys had been paid off.

“As my eyes filled with tears, I vowed to pay it forward as often as I could,” one customer said.
