US kidnap victim found alive days after being dragged off street in shocking attack

The woman who was kidnapped from a suburban street in the US on Sunday has been found alive and police have arrested her alleged abductor.

Police released video showing Carleesha Freeland-Gaither being dragged down a Philadelphia street and into a car, sparking a massive man-hunt.

She has been found inside a parked car in Maryland.

The nurse’s assistant was able to escape by kicking out two windows of the car, ABC News reported.

Her glasses and cellphone were found on the street.

Police officer Ed Hanko said she was "in good shape" while her mother said she was looking forward to taking her daughter home.

The surveillance footage released after her abduction shows the 22-year-old fighting to get away from her attacker as she is pulled towards his car.

On Tuesday, footage was released showing a hooded man allegedly using her ATM card the morning after her abduction.

Delvin Barnes, 37, has been arrested and is assisting police with their inquiries.
