Wikileaks founder Julian Assange to be sentenced today for UK bail breach
A sentencing hearing will be held for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange a day before the US makes its bid to extradite him.
"Julian Assange will be sentenced at Southwark Crown Court at 1030 tomorrow for 'violating his bail conditions' whilst seeking & obtaining political asylum," WikiLeaks tweeted just hours ago.
However, the organisation also said the Australian's lawyers have not been able to confirm at what time will be sentenced today.

Assange was arrested inside the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he had been holed up for seven years, on April 11.
At his first court appearance soon after, his sentencing was set for May 22.
Assange is due to face the same court tomorrow over the US bid to extradite him as the first step in a process some experts say may take as long as two years.
"On Thursday at 10AM there will be a hearing in Westminster Magistrate Court on the US extradition request," WikiLeaks said in the same tweet.
