Italian actress claims to be performing sex acts on voters

An Italian actress who vowed to perform oral sex on every person who voted 'no' in the country's referendum on constitutional reforms in December claims to be following through on her word.

Italians took to the polls on December 5 to vote on amendments to the Italian Constitution, which Prime Minister Matteo Renzi staked his job on.

More than 59 percent of voters disapproved of the amendments and as such, Mr Renzi resigned.

Prior to the referendum on November 23, Los Angeles-based actress Paola Saulino, 27, promised to perform a sex act on all those who voted no in the referendum.

Claiming to be a "woman of [her] word", Ms Saulino announced tour dates of 10 Italian cities in December - kicking off in Rome on December 7.

"First step of #pompatour is gone… A little bit tired but everything is okay," Ms Saulino captioned a suggestive photograph posted to Instagram on Saturday of herself with an open mouth and her middle finger raised.

"This year is started in a best way as possible."

The tour of Italy will see Ms Saulino visit Rome, Florence, Bologna, Verona, Milan, Turin, Naples, Bari, Lecce and Palerm through to January 21.

Some on social media have labelled the tour a publicity stunt and asked the actress to post proof that she was, as she claimed to be, a woman of her word.

Ms Saulino will appear in the upcoming movie Frank and Ava, about the love affair between Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner, as Italian actress Alida Valli.

The film, whose most prominent star is Julia Roberts' brother Eric, is due for release this year.
