The Irish woman on a quest to meet her "twin strangers" across the globe has, incredibly, met her second lookalike in just three months.

Dublin TV presenter Niamh Geaney found her first doppelganger in April only an hour's drive away, a woman named Karen Branigan.

The pair is similar in looks but their personality differed wildly.

Three months later, Ms Geaney tracked down another twin stranger, this time in Italy, named Luisa Guizzardi.

The women not only share their appearance and age of 27 years — friends and family say they have eerily similar character traits and behaviours.

"I met with her friend of 24 years before meeting her, and he said Luisa and I had the same presence and aura," Ms Geaney told ABC News.

"And when I finally met her in person, it was crazy. She'd scrunch her nose the same way as me, play with her hair the same way, shrug her shoulders the same way and even talk with her hands similarly."

When Ms Geaney met her twin stranger for the first time it was like looking at a living mirror that mimicked her in every way.

"The first time around, seeing another girl with my face was a new sensation, but it was so strange for it to happen to me again," she said.

"But it was how similar she acted that was the craziest thing about her."

The twin strangers say they are now "friends for life" who will stay in touch and help others to track down their lookalikes across the world.
