Irish radio hosts' wickedly cruel joke on intern

An intern at an Irish radio station has faced trial by fire when a cruel prank perpetrated by the staff of the breakfast radio show that he was attached abandoned him in the studio, live on air.

Nineteen-year-old Kevin Moore showed up for his first day of work experience at public broadcaster RTE to work on their popular Breakfast Republic show.

He was told that that all the regular staff were sick, and that he had to fill in dead airtime by reading the news and announcing a fake competition to give away a Guinea pig.

All the while, a sadistic producer gave him instructions like "let people know it's dangerous to throw Frisbees" and "don't say 'and' so much".

Mr Moore didn't even catch on when the show's co-hosts arrived back in the studio and told him one of the presenters had just died.

He is instructed to announce the death and then forced to do an impression of the well-known announcer as a tribute.

The entire episode was filmed for the TV show "The Fear", and a YouTube video uploaded yesterday, Australian time, has already been seen nearly 30,000 times.
