Newborn twin comforts crying brother by letting him suck her thumb

A newborn girl has proved to the world that twins do indeed share a special bond, after she was filmed comforting her crying twin brother by letting him suck on her thumb.

In a black and white video posted to YouTube, the six-week-old gently places her thumb into her twin brother’s mouth after he begins to cry, shortly after they are tucked into bed.

“My six week old fussed when I went in the other room so his twin sister took care of the situation,” user Twin Mom captioned the video.

By the end of the 40-second clip the young boy has almost drifted off to sleep as he continues to soothe himself by sucking on his sister’s thumb.

The heart-warming footage, which looks to be captured by a baby monitor, has been viewed almost 20,000 times in the past week.
