Massive fish pilfers hooked shark in one bite

A group of fishermen in the US thought they had hooked a shark when a larger fish swam up from the deep and took it from them in one bite.

The group was enjoying a spot of deep-sea fishing off the coast of Bonita Springs in Florida when they started reeling in their catch — a 1.2 metre shark.

The anglers were trying to pull their dinner from the water when an ominous shadow came up from the deep.

In one gulp, the goliath grouper snapped its large mouth around the shark and swallowed it whole.

So powerful was the bite it took the fish hook, line and sinker and swam back down into the abyss without a struggle.

Just reminds you that there's always a bigger fish.
