Fresh breath only requirement for first love according to gum ad

Endless love apparently can be yours, but only if you have fresh breath.

At least that’s the message in an advertisement for Wrigley’s Extra gum, which tells the tale of a couple falling in love as they share numerous pieces of the minty treat.

Set to a soft cover version of classic Elvis Presley ballad, “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” the ad depicts Juan and Sarah meeting in high school.

It then goes on to chart their lives from their first kiss through to Juan proposing with a cute drawing on a discarded gum wrapper.

The ad has gone viral, with many taking to social media to confess their emotional reaction.

“Did I just cry over a gum ad?” one user wrote on Twitter.
