The man behind placing former PMs Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard into the iconic film The Breakfast Club is back, this time lampooning former Speaker Bronwyn Bishop by dropping her into hit TV show Arrested Development.

ABC editor Huw Parkinson has seamlessly cut Ms Bishop, and her political protégée Prime Minister Tony Abbott, into scenes from the popular show, complete with jokes about the recent expenses scandal, in his latest YouTube send up.

The video depicts Ms Bronwyn as Arrested Development’s Lucille Bluth, a morally corrupt and manipulative woman who insists on living a life of luxury regardless of her means – or the disastrous results.

Mr Abbott, PUP leader Clive Palmer and Labor frontbencher Tony Burke also make cameos in the short clip and a public relations operative is seen vehemently pleading with Ms Bishop – or at least her head superimposed over Lucille’s - to lay low.

“People think you’re cold,” she tells Lucile/ Bronwyn.

“Stay out of the spotlight.”

Bronwyn Bishop resigned from her position as Speaker of the House last week, after coming under fire over her travel expenses.
