First photos of Princess Charlotte with Prince George released by royal family

The first photos of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge with her brother Prince George have been released by the royal family.

The photos are the first of the royal siblings together since Charlotte’s birth on May 2.

The pictures, which show Prince George holding his younger sister, were taken by their mother Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, in mid-May.

Prince George is clearly excited about the arrival of his sister and can be seen in the photos smiling with her in his arms as well as kissing the young princess on the forehead.

The Kensington Palace Twitter account shared the photos this morning, after teasing that they would be releasing the photos earlier that day.

The account also shared pictures of the hundreds of letters and gifts the royal family have received from the public since Princess Charlotte’s birth.

They encouraged anyone who wished to celebrate her birth to donate to a local children’s charity.
