Fireworks explode as truck pins down driver in China

A driver in China has been pinned down by his overturned truck as the fireworks it was carrying exploded around him.

Emergency services pulled off a delicate rescue to save the man from under the truck which was full of fireworks and firecrackers.

The vehicle had caught fire when it rolled over and set off the crackers.

A crane had to be brought in to lift the truck off the driver, who was eventually taken to hospital, BBC reports.

The explosions from the fireworks continued for five hours after the crash.
