Couple posted video of Ethiopian Airlines plane on Tarmac before deadly crash

A Russian model posted a video before she boarded the doomed Ethiopia Airways flight which crashed, killing 157 people.

Ekaterina Polyakova, 28, posted a video alongside her husband Alexander Polyakov, 28, on their way to get on the plane at Addis Ababa Airport.

Mr Polyakova is filmed sitting on a bus to the Boeing 737 MAX plane, which crashed six minutes after take off.

The couple, who were heading to Kenya on holiday and were on a stopover, according to metro.co.uk.

The plane can be seen on the tarmac.

Another video of the couple, reportedly posted in Kuala Lumpur on another stop over sees Mrs Polyakova, say, in Russian: “So we finally got to the summer. Hi to all winter people. We’re sending you the sun, the sun of Asia, there, to the Russian winter. Cooold… Aaaa!”

Friends say the couple worked for Russia’s largest financial institution Sberban, and had been dating since they studied together. Mrs Polyakova also worked as a model.

Ekaterina’s last post on Instagram read: “Exactly one year ago we headed to Asia, now we are flying to Africa. And in the past we thought that a trip to Moscow was something special.”

Australia has now stopped the model of plane flying while investigations are underway into what caused the crash - the second for a Boeing 737 MAX in six months.

A Lion Air operated plane plunged into the sea off Indonesia last October.
