Winston Churchill once said: "If you're going through hell, keep going".

That maxim shouldn't apply to those times you accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

Video has shown the moment an elderly South Korean woman crashed her car into an office building, paused for a moment, then smashed through the front doors and sent workers running for their lives.

The 76-year-old driver was driving out of a carpark when the car suddenly speeds out of control and hits the side of the city hall building in Busan.

After briefly coming to a rest, the car then speeds through the glass door entrance and into the building.

A second shot of the accident, filmed on the car's dashcam, shows the woman crashing through and nearly running over a group of fleeing people before hitting a reception desk.

No one was hurt in the incident, which the woman reportedly blamed on failing brakes.
