Drunken carnage misses woman by inches
A simple trip to the shops can be a dangerous activity.
When an elderly woman in Brazil stopped in at the supermarket on Wednesday to pick up some groceries she had no idea she would come within inches of losing her life.
A drunk driver, speeding in black hatchback, lost control of his vehicle and slammed through the front window of the shops, taking out the checkout right next to her.
In obvious shock at how close she came to be hit, CCTV footage shows the bewildered woman look around her and then at the ceiling.
She almost seems to think the roof collapsed behind her, the wreckage behind her unnoticed.
There are no reports of serious injuries but, when he sobers up, the clearly drunk driver will have plenty of time to count his lucky stars his crash was not fatal.
