Stunning vision as drone crashes into erupting volcano
A drone has crashed into Iceland's spewing Fagradalsfjall volcano, with its final spectacular moments being captured on video.
YouTuber Joey Helms was attempting to get a close-up view of the lava erupting from the volcano's crater, when he flew it a little too close to the action.
In the video posted online today, the drone approaches the volcano crater, angling in as it zooms over the bright lava flowing like a waterfall over the edge.

As the footage draws closer to the centre of the eruption, gas from the hot lava spreads up over the camera lens before the lava spurts up into its path, causing the footage to suddenly come to an end.
"Around the volcano where you have the hot gasses emitted, it causes turbulence all around it and hot rocks raining onto you, flying these things is even more tricky," Mr Helms says in the video.

The Fagradals Mountain volcano in southwestern Iceland had been dormant for 6000 years, and the Reykjanes Peninsula hadn't seen an eruption of any volcano in 781 years.
But in March, it flared back up again and hasn't stopped spilling lava ever since.
Authorities say it is unlikely there is any threat to the Reykjanes community as the volcano is located in a remote location and has so far not indicated any larger eruptions are coming.
