Supporters - and detractors - of former US President Donald Trump gathered outside a Manhattan courthouse today as Trump was sensationally convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records.
The conviction made Trump the first former US president to be convicted of a felony offence.
Outside the courthouse, Trump claimed the trial was "rigged".
Supporters have lingered outside the courthouse throughout the trial, though the verdict today likely came as a surprise, as the jury was on the verge of being sent home for the day.
Trump detractors also assembled, hailing the verdict.
New York, despite being Trump's native city, is not friendly to him politically.
