In pictures: Trump makes first public appearance since attempted assassination
Donald Trump arrived at the Republican convention in Milwaukee on Monday night with a bandaged ear and flanked by security.
This is the first public appearance Trump has made since his attempted assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday in which two people were killed and two others were critically injured.
In a post-shooting interview on Sunday Trump said he was saved from death because he turned from the crowd to look at a screen showing off a chart he was referring to.
"The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle," Trump said.
The aftermath in the US
A few Donald Trump supporters signal to passing cars at an intersection a few kilometres from Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where the former president was taken after surviving the attempted assassination.
Law enforcement block a street in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, that they say was a residence of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter of former president Donald Trump.
A major search has been launched at Crooks' home as authorities try to piece together what drove the 20-year-old to attempt to kill Trump.
An automobile dealership sign displays a message for the victims of the assassination attempt of Donald Trump. A man killed at the rally has been identified as Corey Comperatore, while two others were also injured.
