Trump to nominate Christopher A. Wray as new FBI director

US President Donald Trump has announced via Twitter he will be nominating lawyer and former Justice Department official Christopher A. Wray to be the next director of the FBI.
"I will be nominating Christopher A. Wray, a man of impeccable credentials, to be the new Director of the FBI. Details to follow," Mr Trump wrote on Twitter.

Mr Trump fired former FBI director James Comey last month.
Wray was an assistant attorney general during President George W. Bush's administration.
Press Secretary Sean Spicer said last week that Wray was coming to the White House for an interview.
