A dog whose skull was crushed when she was hit by a car four months ago is making a recovery after being given reconstructive surgery.
The eight-month-old Rottweiler, named Ziba, suffered several fractures from the accident and had blindness in her right eye, as well as swelling on the brain, the United States’ ABC reports.

However veterinarians were able to perform reconstructive surgery on Ziba’s skull and jaw.
Three months since the five-hour operation Ziba is recovering well with the fractures healing and the Rottweiler able to use chew toys to exercise her mouth.
She does however remain blind in her right eye.
