Distracted driver runs over two-year-old boy

A two-year-old boy in China has survived after being run over by a distracted driver.

The boy had been playing on a street near the factory where his parent's worked in Eastern China's Fujian province last week.

He is seen wandering in front of a parked car as the driver gets into his vehicle while talking on the phone.

Remaining on the phone as he drives away, he runs the boy over without even noticing.

The boy could be seen crying in a heap on the ground after the car drives over him, but was still moving.

He reportedly only suffered minor scratches and bruises in the accident, according to the Straits Times.

Local police released CCTV of the accident as a warning to drivers of what can happen if they allow themselves to be distracted by their mobile phones.

The man might be charged with dangerous driving, according to Jinjiang City authorities.
