Deer survives incredible mountain explosion

A deer is lucky to be alive after the mountain side it was feeding on exploded and collapsed underneath it in a massive cloud of dust and rock.

The deer stood in a tranquil winter forest where it foraged through the snow-covered ground with members of its herd nearby.

But the scene is soon interrupted by a siren which blared through the wood like a trumpet heralding the apocalypse.

One of the deer heeded the call and quickly bounded off through the trees — but the other deer only raised its head in awareness of the sound.

Then in an instant, the ground erupted with a blast and the white snow to become an ashen cloud of dust.

The mountainside tumbled away in a waterfall of rock while blasts of dynamite shot up through ground.

For a moment the deer seems gone, vaporised in the burst.

But then it appears, leaping off through the top of the shot and away into the distance.

Truly a miracle of nature.
