Debris found in search for plane that vanished in Bermuda Triangle

Coast guards who are searching for a plane carrying four people that disappeared while flying through the infamous Bermuda Triangle have located debris.

The search was launched after the twin-engine aircraft lost contact with air traffic control while flying over the Bahamas yesterday.

The plane, which left from Puerto Rico in the afternoon, never arrived at its destination in Titusville, Florida. 

The US Coast Guard said searchers had located debris about 64 kilometres east of Eleuthera, but have not confirmed it is from the missing plane.

The four people on board the plane, who are now feared dead, have been identified as Nathan Ulrich, 52, Jennifer Blumin, 40, and her two sons aged four and ten, ABC 7 reports.

The plane was reportedly flying at 24,000 feet and travelling at 300 knots when it lost contact with air traffic control over the island of Eleuthera.

The US Coast Guard said there was “no indication” of bad weather when the plane went missing.
