Dash cam captures stunning meteor streak overhead on Bangkok road

A driver has captured the moment a suspected meteor streaked through the sky over a road in Bangkok.

The video, which was reportedly filmed in the Thai capital at about 8.35pm local time on Monday, shows the sky light up as the large greenish object flashes overhead.

According to the Bangkok Post, the Thai Astronomical Society suspects the object was a meteor.

"I could see it clearly in Chum Pphae district, Khon Kaen province. It's moving west," a witness tweeted to local radio station JS100.

The meteor was also seen in Chon Buri, Ratchaburi, Kanchanaburi, and Nakhon Pathom provinces.

In early September a similar-looking meteor lit up the skies in Bangkok and was captured on several dash cams.
