Single dad’s online tutorials for styling daughter’s hair gains momentum

Single father Philippe Morgese has started up a free weekly tutorial for dads to learn how to style their daughters’ hair – and its going global.

The Daytona-based Daddy Daughter Hair Factory has more than 15,000 likes on Facebook, as dads from around the world tune in to learn basic hair styling skills.

The tutorials offer a mix of lessons from beginners to advanced and include basic brushing, ponytails, braids and buns.

The classes began about four months ago, but Mr Morgese had been practicing hair styles on his daughter Emma through his YouTube channel prior to taking the workshops.

Hundreds of fathers have now gone through the course.

Mr Morgese has been getting help from staff at the Daytona cosmetology school about different hair textures, as more diverse ethnicities have begun attending classes.
