Construction workers pull injured man from flaming car

A group of construction workers have risked their own lives to pull a badly injured driver to safety after his ute was clipped by a tour bus and burst into flames.

As thick smoke billowed from under the truck's crumpled bonnet and fire licked at its engine, strangers rushed to the wreck to drag its driver clear.

"Please help them," a distressed female passerby can be heard saying as she films the rescue.

"Oh my god… save him!" she gasps when the driver’s limp body slumps out of his opened door.

She then pulls over and gets out of her car, as the crackle of flames and muffled voices pepper the otherwise quiet roadway.

Out of shot, a bystander barks at the workers to "get out, you gotta get out" as the flames continue to engulf the ute.

After being finally dragged free, the ute driver was found to have suffered burns to his left shoulder and upper-body.

Police Fox News the incident happened after the bus collided with his truck.

Two people in the tour also bus suffered injuries. Fox News did not reveal their condition.
