Construction worker dangles from five-storey building in eastern China

A construction worker in China has had a terrifying close call when he was left dangling upside down from a five-storey building in east China's Jiangsu Province.

The man had slipped off a ledge on the top floor on Sunday morning, before his foot was caught in a security grille on a window below, breaking his fall.

After a few minutes, the man's colleagues managed to rescue him using a thick cord to pull him back to safety.

He escaped with only minor bruising, APTN reports.

The workers were reportedly re-modelling the kitchen of an apartment in the building and were clearing waste when the man fell.
